Dr. Smith is certified as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. She treats the full spectrum—from young adults transitioning out of pediatrics to individuals seeking a first-time autism diagnosis.
Adult focused autism care is different from pediatrics. We often have more life stressors (bills, jobs, relationships) and physical health conditions (hypertension, diabetes) that affect how we respond to treatment.
Dr. Smith's holistic approach considers all of the factors that are a part of you as a unique individual.
Autism Evaluations & Diagnosis Clarification
As a provider on the spectrum, Dr. Smith is very particular about Autism Evaluations. She only provides assessments that are:

She also spends time reviewing past diagnoses to determine which are correct, or may actually be autism.
Genetic Testing for Psychotropic Medications
We offer GeneSight- a test that analyzes how genetic variation in your DNA may affect medication outcomes.
The test requires an appointment and must be ordered. Then the GeneSight test kit arrives as a simple cheek swab that can be done in the convenience of your home and mailed back in.
The consultation appointment will review the results and create treatment plan that is tailored to your specific genes and mental health needs.
