I have a psychiatric provider and do not want to change. I only want an Autism Evaluation. Can I do that?

No, my practice does not offer stand-alone autism evaluations.

Autism evaluations are completed within the context of ongoing psychiatric treatment and are not offered as a separate consultation service.

You must establish as a patient at this practice.

What is the process for Autism evaluations? Can I get a diagnosis on the first appointment?

First, you will start with an initial intake visit to discuss your concerns and review your physical and mental health history. Dr. Smith will determine which Autism test is the best fit for you.

Some patients are more complex and require more than one visit to determine if an autism evaluation is appropriate.

Testing consists of 2 appointments - a 90 minute assessment and 60 minute follow up to discuss results and a treatment plan.

How much is an Autism Evaluation?

Autism Evaluations are $650 and are cash only. We do offer payment plans and your diagnosis is completely confidential.

Can I be seen if I am already diagnosed with Autism?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Dr. Smith sees many patients who have already been diagnosed or are aging out of pediatric programs.

Are appointments virtual?

Yes, we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telepsychiatry appointments for your convenience. 
In-person visits are very limited, but available upon request or when clinically necessary.

How often will I need to be seen?

Frequency of visits depends on your individual treatment plan. Some patients are seen monthly, others less frequently once stable. We'll decide together what’s best for your care.
