ABOUT
Dr. Smith has a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and is board certified as both a Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a comprehensive understanding of how medications interact on both the mind and body and has a holistic approach to mental health. She has been an RN since 1996 and has worked in many specialties including open heart recovery, ICU, ER, and hospice.
After working as a family nurse practitioner for years, she was frustrated with the lack of options for mental health care. She returned for a post-doctorate degree in psychiatry as well as additional education and certifications in Autism. As a provider who is also autistic, she personally knows how difficult it can be to find providers who understand the needs of adult on the spectrum and those who support them.
Her warm and welcoming approach makes everyone feel at ease. Low lights, fidget toys, body doubling, and partners are welcome. Whatever makes you feel comfortable for your appointment is encouraged.

These insurances may have a copay for services that will be due on the day of your appointment. If your insurance is not listed, our practice is considered an “out-of-network insurance provider” by your insurance company. You will be responsible for paying up front, then filing a claim with your provider for reimbursement of your fees.
